Frequently asked questions

If you have any other questions that are not addressed here please feel free to contact us with those questions.

Do you have red/brown/cream puppies

We only breed dogs who fit the breed standard. We dont breed non standard colors, so although reds do VERY rarely show up in well bred litters this is not something we breed for, so the odds of having one are VERY slim. In almost 30 years of breeding we have never produced a Non standard color.

We just want a pet...

We dont want a show dog. Wonderful. Thats what I offer. All our puppies are raised exactly the same whether they are destined for the show ring or for your couch. They all get the same love and dedication, because that's what they all deserve. All our dogs are placed on spay/neuter contracts, and come fully health tested from fully health tested parents (often MANY generations if they have my bloodlines behind them) and come with a lifetime welcome home policy.

Do you have adults available

Occationally we do offer a dog who is retired from our breeding program. These are usually girls who would be ready for new loving homes. They have contributed to our breeding program and are ready to move on to a loving home.

How much do you charge for your puppies/dogs?

Our puppies typically range from $3200-$3800. Adult dogs prices vary greatly depending on age, and requirements.

Can I pick my puppy?

We want to make sure that our puppies fit in to their new home. We want our puppies to be in the perfect home for their temperment, so its possible you may have one or two to choose from or there may be only one available.

When can I get my puppy?

Our puppies never go home before 8 weeks and are usually not ready till 9-10 weeks of age. Those last 2 or 3 weeks are very immportant to their emotional health and mental developement and they need to be with their mother and siblings for those developemmilestones.

What to look for in a reputable breeder......

When starting your search for a reputable breeder there are some red flags you should be watching out for. First and for most you want a healthy dog who will be with you for the next 10-12 years. That means your puppy should come from Health Tested dogs. At a minimum they should have hearing (BAER) eyes (CAER) and Patella's as well as JHC DNA testing. Although we dont always send them in to OFA All my dogs are tested for these at a minimum, but may have addition health testing including heart, spine, trachea and BOAS (airway). We are happy to provide copies of all health testing our dogs have had (Multiple generations) and proof will be provided in your puppy packet as well. All puppies will have their BAER, CAER and well puppy check which includes initial patella check and vaccines before going to their new homes. All pet puppies are placed with spay/neuter contracts. This means that any puppy who doesnt stay with us will need to be spayed or neutered (at the age your vet deems appropriate). We dont do a lot of breeding, so we do not take deposits for puppies that we dont have. Once puppies are born we start to update our list of potential buyers to let them know we have puppies that will be available. At around 4-5 weeks we start taking deposits for puppies that will be available at around 10 weeks of age. We do not place puppies before that as they need their mother and siblings to help with their mental and emotional growth.
